Destination Gotland

Destination Gotland operates ferries between the Swedish mainland and the island of Gotland. 

At tätatät, we assisted in refining their onboard visual identity, previously cluttered and disorganized. Our aim was to clarify that all services were provided by Destination Gotland and to impart a modern, premium ambiance. 

I contributed to building the brand identity, concept development, product and furniture design, visual asset creation, and the onboard bar design. Our efforts not only polished the visual identity but also elevated the passenger experience, fostering a welcoming and contemporary environment for travelers.

The shapes used in the graphic identity are modeled after real stones from the island, enabling each shape to be linked with a specific stone in a specific location.

The outline of Gotland is instantly recognizable to many. By rotating it in various contexts, we establish an association with the sensation of navigating a map. We incorporated these varied island rotations into the logos of onboard services such as the bar, restaurant, and store.
